Sowing the seeds of Spring

Over the past couple of weeks, another sure sign of Spring has been arriving in our mailbox: Seed Catalogs!

Charmaine is is the final planning stages of the LipsYard gardens, both vegetable and floral. This is accomplished by laying out all the magazines on the dining room table, envisioning what we want to plant...

...then checking against what seeds still remain from last year. Our order will be ready to go in a week or so.

It was 5 years ago that the Bush Administration, prodded by the Neocons, was sowing the seeds of war against Iraq, leading up to the March invasion. Chances of a long, drawn out affair were "pooh-poohed" by Defense Secretary Rumsfeld, who predicted the entire project "... could last six days, six weeks. I doubt six months."

Sometimes you have to be careful what seeds you sow.
